ABOUT We are a group of lifelong friends, who turned their love for chess into creating a solution lacking in the market. Janusz Lisowski and Lech Bakalarz are electronic and mechanical engineers with a huge passion for creating and building innovative electronic equipment that is used in i.e.: lighting, the automotive industry, or healthcare. Thanks to the help of experienced Project Manager & Coordinator Kinga Humińska-Lisowska, the brand has spread its wings and grown into a thriving company with more than 11 people involved in the project. Our ultimate goal is to promote playing online chess on real, physical boards (OTB) and the organization of hybrid chess tournaments. FAQ Does the iChessOne chessboard have a built-in battery? Yes. Thanks to the feedback from our supporters we decided to add a built-in battery that lasts for several hours of play on one charge. It can be re-charged using a standard USB-C cable. More information can be found in Update #3 from April 11th. What is the weight of the whole iChessOne set? The entire iChessOne set, including the chessboard, 34 pieces, USB cable, mobile phone stand, and a pen weighs ~2.5 kg. Remember, there may be weight differences as the set is made of natural wood :) Does the chessboard remember the games played? Yes! All the games you play are remembered and you can access them from the application level. You can come back to them, analyze and generate PGN at any time you want. How is it possible that the chessboard is electronic and the LEDs are not visible? You cannot see the LEDs when they are turned OFF, because they are hidden under the surface of the wood. For this purpose, we precisely milled the blind holes, which allowed us to maintain the unchanged appearance of the classical wooden chessboard while ensuring light transmission and its visibility also in bright sunlight.
