Its head is forged from 200+ layers of 1095 and 15N20, then acid-etched so the living grain of the steel appears. Two edges serve two jobs: a ~6.5 inch bit for power cuts like felling and splitting, and a ~4.5 inch bit for control work like limbing and notching. A 25 inch solid Ashwood handle soaks up shock, wrapped in top-grain leather for a warm, sure grip.
