Osaka Knives by Koi are two stunning collections of beautiful, supremely sharp, and precise kitchen knives inspired by Japanese art and the vibrant city of Osaka. All handles have been created to bring color to the kitchen and feel comfortable in the user’s hand. The layer closest to the steel is made with G10, which fortifies the connection between the steel and the wood, while the layer beyond the G10 is made with maple wood and resin.

Whilst Shannon, son of a blacksmith, has spent many years working with steel. Taught how to harden steel by eyeballing it with a blowtorch and a can of oil by his father when he was young, his love soon shifted to knives and honing that perfect edge. One day after eating too much at a dinner party, sitting and talking over a glass of Barossa Shiraz, talking about our different paths, the idea of Koi Knives was born. Let's create a knife that represents who we are...
What does it mean to back a project (pledge)?
When you back a project, you’re pre-ordering the product. That means you'll get it once it's produced. Besides getting the product itself, you're also joining a community. Follow along the production process, take part in important surveys and give the creator valuable feedback.
What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a launchpad for creators to raise funds for the initial production of their invention. Backers (that's you!) can support the creator by pre-ordering the product at a discounted price.
How do I pledge?
In order to pledge, click that green button that says “Back this project”. You'll get to select your shipping country and choose your desired pledge level and reward.
