mapart
Display Your Favorite City On Your Wall
MAP ART turns the cities you love into sculptural paper art that quietly holds your memories. Each piece starts with a real city map, where roads, railways, rivers, and land are separated into up to nine layers of paper. Ultra fine lines as thin as 0.1 mm are laser cut, then the most delicate parts are finished carefully by hand. Colors, layer order, and line thickness are all tuned through repeated prototyping so each work reveals the structure and rhythm of the city. New York, Tokyo, and Kyoto come in distinct color variations so you can match your space and mood. Back MAP ART on Kickstarter now.
About
MAP ART was created in 2019. What drew me to creating map art was the beauty that lies in the cities themselves. The roads, railways, rivers, and countless lines that make a city. I want to display these intricate structures as art, and as such MAP ART was born.
FAQ

What does it mean to back a project (pledge)?

When you back a project, you are pre-ordering the product.
