Steve Cassell and Mat Cousineau met at the final table of a competitive card game tournament. Years later have become great friends and are passionate about improving the board gaming community and producing great games for all to enjoy.
Is the difference between the kickstarter edition and the founder edition really just 4 cards and a credit in the rulebook?
Yes. We wanted to make sure that everyone who backs receives the best version of the game, regardless of their pledge or our funding goal reached. This is why the stretch goals were mostly focused on social goals. We also wanted to provide something exclusive for our strongest supporters. The founder cards will be Kickstarter exclusives and really allowed us to push the boundaries. We think these cards will add an exciting experience for players who love Kuiperium.
Will this game be available in any languages other than English?
Our primary focus at the end of the campaign will be immediately manufacturing the first run of prints in order to fulfill all Kickstarter pledges, however we are already in the process of working with partners to create pdf files in French and German and plan to have those available for download shortly after the conclusion of the campaign.
Is this game 2 player only? Will you be adding a solo version or one with higher player counts?
At this time Kuiperium is a 2 player game. We have gotten a lot of requests for a version with more variable player counts and that is absolutely something we want to bring to life. We have a lot of plans for ways to enhance the Kuiperium experience but our focus has first been on creating the best version of this 2 player game.
I have heard some criticism about the card text being too small, will this be addressed?
You are absolutely right the text on the cards is way to small in the protoype. This is something that was initially missed by us but we are happy to say that it was our biggest complaint with the prototype. The cards have already been corrected to enlarge the text and brighten the font.
I like to sleeve my games. What kind of sleeves do I need?
