He organizes a contest to find adventurers to solve his problems, intending to make them lords and then disappear, leaving them to face the angry evil lich king. If the heroes succeed, they become the lords of Overlook Tower and the surrounding lands known as Thurme's Reach—but it comes with a heavy price.
