Remember flipbooks? This little hand-cranked machine brings them to life right on your desk 🎞‍

The Motion Box is a living home for real animation, born from handcrafted frame-by-frame art and engineered into a tactile, screenless object for your space. Inside this analog animation player, each loop is a physical sequence you can see and feel, not just a file on a screen. Swap animations anytime to match your mood, your room, or the moment. Adjust the speed, switch between manual and automatic modes, and watch drawings come alive at your pace. With a retro soul and quiet modern engineering, it turns shelves, desks, and side tables into small stages for motion. Built by an animator and trusted by creative teams at Google, it is designed as more than a single product, but as a growing platform for artists and collectors. Back The Motion Box on Kickstarter now.

About

Meet The Motion Box, a palm-sized animation device that runs brief animations via a flipbook mechanism. Every animation is: - Created by a real artist - Inspired by their culture and background - Crafted frame by frame, not generated by AI - Different techniques. Different aesthetics. - One unifying language: ANIMATION. Exclusively on Kickstarter.
