A lion dance-inspired strategy game where every card you play can help set up your next big move 🦁

In Lionwake: Boardgame, lion dance folklore becomes a tense tabletop duel for 1 to 4 players. You are a villager forging bonds with powerful Lion guardians to hold back the mythical Nian beast threatening Lionwake. Command two asymmetric Lions using multifunctional Drum cards that drive both movement and actions. Build a layered tableau beside each Lion to stack passive and active abilities, then time your Rest action to reset and reshuffle your deck. Leap across terrain tiles, position your Lions for key actions, and choose between careful resource engines or risky dice battles. Ink tattoo motifs, write spring couplets, and carve jade amulets to shape your Lions and place Qi energy across the village in a Euro-style race for victory.
